The maddest hot hatch of the 80s makes its way to our garage. The Renault 5 (R5) Turbo designed by Bertone, was at the time the most powerful production French car with its 160 hp 1.4 turbo engine mounted in the trunk and insanely big wheel arches and air vents. Originally built to replace the aging Alpine A110 and compete with the dominating Lancia Stratos, it enjoyed immediate, although limited, success in the european rally scene, with its crowning achievement being a 1981 Monte Carlo Rally victory at the hands of Jean Ragnotti – fun fact, Carlos Sainz also drove one! Unfortunately it would soon be outclassed by the emergence of Group B and its monstrous machines, especially the 4-wheel drive competitors with a clear dirt track advantage over the 2-wheel rear drive R5 Turbo, even with the 350 hp evolution of the Maxi Turbo. Proof that cult status can be achieved even without a long list of victories. Only 1600 were ever produced but you can still get a pair of them right now! 80% Combed Cotton, 17% Polyamide, 3% Elastane. We use seamless knitting to create a sock with no stitches. Wash inside out (40ºC/100ºF max). Do not tumble dry, iron, bleach or dry clean.

Made in Portugal using the finest hand-picked Egyptian Cotton, the Grand Touring collection is meant for those days you’d rather tone down the full power of your petrolhead passion and swap the exotic hypercar for the unsuspicious sleeper car.

The Golf GTI invented the hot hatch and set a pretty high bar for all that came after it. This brilliant little car also had some unique interior design features, our favorite being the bright Tartan plaid seats that can still be specced in modern-day GTI’s.

Launched in 1973, the Lancia Stratos was one the most beautiful sports car – not surprisingly it was designed by Bertone. The inspiration for the design was the Alitalia WRC rally car version.

The 911 Turbo was put into production in 1975 with the original purpose of gaining homologation for the 1976 racing season. Despite that, the Turbo quickly became popular among petrol heads.
Ernst Fuhrmann and Hans Mezger adapted the turbo technology to the 3.0-liter flat-six from the Carrera RS 3.0 – creating what Porsche internally dubbed as the 930 – using a single KKK turbocharger.
Total output from the first engine was 256hp at 5,500 rpm. To ensure that the platform could make the most of the higher power, a revised suspension, larger brakes, a sturdier 4-speed gearbox, wider rear track with flared wheel arches and the mythical “whale tail,” all became part of the package.
The 930 proved very fast but also a handful to drive, so the terms “snap oversteer” and “widow maker” quickly became common when describing it and are forever connected to the original Turbo.
But one of the most iconic features of the 930 package is the exclusive Tartan seats that became the inspiration for this 930 Special Edition pack.
Shottenkaro is the correct Porsche terminology for the Red/Blue, which is authentic McLaughlin Clan tartan. The Blue/Green is the Black Watch tartan from the infamous 3rd Battalion Royal Regiment of Scotland, and the Brown/Beige Code 064 made for a very cool and bright interior. But we had a box that fitted four socks, so we needed one more tartan to complete the set. We picked one that, despite not being period correct, makes arguably the most beautiful sock designs in our collection, inspired in a fabric pattern used by Magnus Walker in one of his Porsches.

A celebration of the amazing life of Ayrton Senna.
Ayrton, the racing driver, needs no introduction. King of Pole Position, King of Rain, without a doubt one of the greatest racers that ever lived. So many of today’s F1 fans can establish a direct connection between their first love for the sport and the brazillian. Many still wake up at odd hours to see distant races in the hope of getting a glimpse of what F1 was back then, the end of an era when man was still greater than machine and F1 driving was a pure experience.
Ayrton, the man, is beloved the world over for his honesty and passion for the sport and for life. A silent humanitarian who invested most of his fortune in the fight for social equality in Brazil, imposing only one condition – total secrecy (no, we’re not crying, you’re crying!). In a country that worships football like a religion and footballers like gods, Senna is not only the most beloved sportsman to ever come out of Brazil – he’s the most beloved person, the immortal embodiment of all that’s good about Brazil.
How lucky we are to have met you!

Once upon a time, there was Lancia, one of Italy’s greatest car manufacturers. Back then, before the Scooby’s and the Evo’s, lived the hero of our story, the Lancia Delta. And, like a character from a fantasy world, it suddenly went from quiet utilitarian to a Rally God. When it entered the WRC battlefield in its Martini war paint, it was so damn good that it made everything else look prehistoric in comparison, carelessly destroying competitors and leaving nothing but tread marks behind.
It won the WRC manufacturer’s title in its debut year in 87 and then went on to win 6 (six!) years in a row and becoming, to this day, the most successful rally car of all times. And, more than a quarter of a century after its introduction, the Integrale is still loved and respected, perhaps now even more than ever. Please come back, Lancia. We’ve missed you!

The car that invented the hot hatch set a pretty high bar for all that came after it.
    But its birth wasn’t easy…
The prototype was based on a Scirocco, with an EA827 engine with dual carburettors and a lowered and stiffened suspension. When this prototype was driven by Volkswagen’s Chief of Research, he objected to the harsh suspension and excessive noise from the intake system and declared the car “undriveable”.Nevertheless the VW Golf GTI team preservered and ended up assembling a truly special automobile.
Gunhild Liljequist was tasked with creating a set of features that would set theGTI’s interior apart from the normal Golf. Her contributions became car interior design legends: the bright Tartan plaid upholstery and the dimpled golf-ball-like gearshift knob, making this sock design sort of a no-brainer for us.

The Pepita was yet another great moment of inspiration from the fine auto-making people of Stuttgart. Four flavors of Porsche vintage seat fabric in a beautiful bespoke box.

From the time when the default Porsche interior wasn’t a monotonous shade of leather, back when Porsche used to throw in a plethora of unique patterns to keep curious onlookers awake while ogling through the side windows.

If the notion of fabric as an upscale seat covering surprises you, read on.
Car makers once paid little attention to their color and fabric departments, but Porsche – besides being known for making a sports car or two – has a history of creating unique and bold upholstery patterns that has always worked as an added lure for their above-average-fashion-conscious clientele.

So is the story with the Pepita, one of the most famous and recognizable seats. A relative to the 1800s Scottish houndstooth – although definitely not the same – legend as it that the name Pepita has its origins in a homonymous Spanish dancer that performed in Stuttgart in the 1850s and was known across Germany.
Introduced in 1963, alongside the birth of Recaro – a descendent of Reutter, a Stuttgart car seat supplier – the Pepita was first used in late 356C’s and then followed by the 901/911, 912 and 914 models up until 1973.

It has since reappeared in the 50th Anniversary 911 Carrera in 2013, and through Porsche’s “Heritage Design Packages” the vintage textile is now making a comeback as a premium option in the sportiest models Stuttgart has to offer.

Debuted in 1980, the Audi Quattro is mostly known as a Group B rally icon, having enjoyed great success in the WRC primarily thanks to its innovative 4-wheel drive system that took the championship by storm.

A collaboration with Shmee150 to create a tribute to his own McLaren Senna.
On the off chance you haven’t heard of him, Shmee150 is the brand of Tim Burton, a blogger/youtuber who travels the world in search of the greatest and most exclusive automotive content – it’s a tough gig doing Gumball 3000 or Mille Miglia but, hey, somebody’s got to take one for team petrolhead, right?
This is a man who’s current car collection – dubbed The Shmeemobiles – includes, besides the obvious super exclusive hypercar McLaren Senna, an Aston Martin Vantage GT8, Ford GT, Merc-AMG GT R, Mclaren 675LT Spyder and… *drum roll please*… a lime green Suzuki Jimny! Not bad for a guy who started off with a 1.2 Renault Clio…
Anyway, we’re clearly fans of the lifestyle so we partnered up with Shmee150 to create a Limited Edition of regular and low-cut sock designs based on Tim’s own Cerulean Blue McLaren Senna, with a dark blue carbon fiber effect.
